Welcome to your community health and fitness centre
At Launceston Community Leisure Centre, our story is rooted in community spirit.
Following the decision to close the centre in 2022, local people worked together to protect this vital facility for the town. Since February 2023, we have been independently managed, operating as a community-focused leisure centre dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of local residents.
Since taking over management, we have expanded our programmes, increased opportunities for members, and strengthened our partnerships with local schools and community groups. We continue to grow and develop our facilities, with exciting plans to further enhance what we offer.
Our mission is simple — to provide an inclusive, welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy being active, improve their wellbeing, and feel part of their community.

We offer friendly facilities for local schools and communities – please do visit us today and keep us open with your ongoing support.
We have a 25 metre swimming pool and a separate learner pool for parents with infants.
The gym is the ideal space to improve your health and wellbeing and includes a range of weights and cardio equipment.
We run a number of regular classes at the centre each week, delivered by friendly and experienced instructors.
Our sports hall is able to host a wide range of sports and also open to local sports clubs and societies.
We offer pay as you visit options, which means that you can use the centre as frequently as you want to.

We have a wide range of membership options for all ages; we aim to make them as flexible and cost effective as possible.
